Multiple Device Open Circuit Fault Diagnosis for T-Type Multilevel Inverters

This paper proposes a fault diagnosis method for multiple switches' fail in a single or multi phases of T-Type multilevel inverters. Average current park vector method-based algorithm utilizes three-phase output current of the inverter to detect faults and their locations. This load independent method has been used to find a faulty switch in single phase of different converters. This paper extends the average current park vector method to find and locate multiple faults in multi-phases of T-Type multi-level converters.
