The Concept of Free Fall Motion in Physics Practice Analysis Using Tracker Video Analysis (TVA)

A physics experiment requires a kit to prove a physics concept or to determine the magnitude of a constant. Various methods are used to measure the acceleration of the Earth’s gravity. Variables are also involved, including the height (position) of objects and time. The use of a stopwatch is an obstacle in the measurement process. To minimize these errors, it is necessary to make a more accurate experimental tool. This study aims to determine the value of gravitational acceleration using the concept of free fall motion at a certain desired height. The data is analyzed using Tracker Video Analysis (TVA) software to obtain information on the position and speed of objects per unit of time. Based on the $\mathrm{{v}_{y-t}}$ graph, it can be seen that the speed changes linearly so that it can be said that objects experience straight motion changing regularly. The acceleration factor is affected by the force of gravity and it is assumed that there is no air resistance. By doing linear regression to the v y-t graph, a line gradient is obtained which is nothing but the acceleration of gravity. The resulting average gravitational acceleration for a height of 1 meter at various altitude variations is 9.833 m/s2.
