Zigbee-Based Body Temperature, Heart Rate and Blood Oxygen Saturation Monitoring System

Monitoring vital signsis of particular concern to the government in such as body temperature, heartbeat and oxygen saturation. This Examining is very basic for paramedics in ensuring the patient’s health condition. However, the problems in several health services, where the equipment used still manually. In addition, patient data examination results cannot be sent during a power outage. This condition is certainly not optimal because it requires a lot of medical personnel and slows down information on the patient’s disease diagnosis.This study aims to help improve the performance of health services in monitoring vital sign examinations in normal and emergency network conditions. The stages of the research included designing the vital sign sensor module, creating a program on Arduino, testing the vital sign sensor module, and connecting and configuring the zigbee module to Arduino. The results showed that the average accuracy of the temperature sensor design was 98.14%, heartbeat was 99.42%, and blood oxygen saturation was 98.44%. The delay time required in sending data using zigbee media for conditions without obstructions is 7.78 seconds at a distance of 60 meters and with a barrier of 9.58 seconds at 35 meters.
