A New Multi-Human Targets Impulse Response Extraction Algorithm Using UWB Radar

The current methods for multi-human vital signs monitoring using UWB radar require precise decisions on the existence of particular targets in the radar detection range to obtain their impulse response (IR). Considering the complexity of interference in multi-target monitoring scenarios, failures in target estimation occur using previously proposed algorithms. A new algorithm is proposed to gain accurate IR through the clean algorithm with target information from the Modified CA-CFAR (MCA-CFAR) algorithm and the decision accumulation approach as its input variables. The validity of the proposed algorithm is verified based on results estimation.
