A non-hierarchical technology- and vendor-agnostic SDN controller

Most of the existing approaches addressing the limits and constraints of technology and vendor propriety on network programmability involve hierarchical architectures. Apart from synchronization and orchestration issues, such architectures reduce the quantum of device information on the higher levels of hierarchy, multiply the controller implementation effort per domain and vendor, and complicate the network programmability. Hence, we demonstrate a unified non-hierarchical architecture that is technology- and vendor-agnostic as well as capable of preserving the network programmability and level of device data abstraction.
