Black Phosphorus: Mid-Infrared Light-Emitting Properties and Devices

Black phosphorus has attracted great attentions from two-dimensional material community due to its high carrier mobility, widely tunable bandgap and decent light-matter interactions. In particular, its narrow bandgap and high intrinsic light-emitting quantum efficiency make it a promising material platform for high-performance mid-infrared light-emitting devices. Here, I will review the recent advances in the research field of mid-infrared light-emitting properties, devices and applications of black phosphorus.
