Mathematical modeling of the moulding single-crystal structure formation [of gas turbine rotor]

In modern gas turbine engines, rotor blades with directed or single-crystal structure, making for its high service characteristics, are used. Obtaining such a structure demands a special technology. The development of this technology is labor-intensive and long-term process. It is possible to research the conditions of designing the required structure without expensive experiments providing the process of obtaining a single-crystal structure by using analytical modeling. Thus, the development of the direction of technological process modeling is a very important problem. With the usage of the model, the time as well as material resources expenses reduce but the quality of the moulding increases. The results of mathematical modeling development of the consolidation and cooling of the moulding of a "cooled gas turbine engine (GTE) blade" under conditions of high-speed directed crystallization are presented.
