Mathematics Digital Teaching Material in the First Year of Engineering

Algebraic and Analytic Geometry is one of the first subjects in the engineering degree curriculum taught at the Facultad Regional Bahia Blanca of the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional. The Complex Numbers topic is part of one of the last contents of the program of the subject, which is why, in general, it is not developed with sufficient depth during the course, therefore it is necessary to establish strategies that collaborate in the construction of knowledge by each student. In this sense, and taking as a reference a note on the Complex Numbers topic already prepared for the subject, it was decided to reformulate it by creating a teaching material mediated by Virtual Classroom. This educational material presents hypermedia, multimedia, interactivity and playful contributions characteristics, and is focused from a constructivist model, in order that the student understand and learn the contents that are presented in it. This work describes the digital teaching material, its implementation in the current year and the response of the students regarding its usefulness.
