Error Finding in Real-Time Systems using Mutants of Temporal Properties

In this work we present a mechanism that allows finding errors in real-time systems due to misinterpretations of temporal properties specified by a designer. Properties of such systems are described by patterns in a temporal logic. Counterexamples are generated by a model checker from a set of proposed mutant formulas. These counterexamples can then be used to generate test cases for the system implementation.
