Predicting computer behavior

The major scientific and mathematical problems that need to be solved to advance the state of digital-system engineering practice are identified. Mathematics for digital systems is discussed for describing system behavior, defining acceptable behavior, demonstrating acceptable behavior, and scaling up. Current and future digital system engineering on the basis of these foundations is examined.<
