Solar Driven Microwave-Assisted Vacuum Pyrolysis of Plastic Wastes

Non-bio-degradable municipal plastic wastes create a severe environmental pollution issue. The design and study of a Solar Power-Driven Microwave-Assisted Vacuum Pyrolysis set up to convert waste plastics to fuel have been presented in this article. Here, the pyrolysis reactor will be heated by commercially available microwave oven, commonly used for cocking food. As such plants are usually used in day time, to make it further cost effective, it has been planned to run the microwave oven with the help of solar power. The economical and the eco-friendly aspects will be precisely described here. A prototype design along with the implementation of an off-grid solar power driven microwave oven are discussed in detail.
