Printed MIMO antennas for 5G C-band for laptop computer applications

This paper proposed a printed coupled feed antenna for laptop computers. The design of 8×8 MIMO antennas is placed on the top edge of the system ground of 200mm×260 mm×0.8mm. The size of the proposed antenna is 3mm×17mm×0.8mm. The antenna is printed on FR4 substrate of permittivity of 4.4 and thickness of 0.8 mm. The design extended to 8×8 MIMO antennas operating at WRC 5G (3.4– 3.6GHz). The simulated efficiency has a 47–59% over the operating band. This design with good radiation performances and keeping low profile is suitable for the application of laptop computers.
