This paper presents an overview of recent progress on human emotions and creativity respectively. It reviews the current applications and technologies for monitoring and recognising emotions, as well as reviewing the research on creativity. The main goal of this research is to speculate the trend in the area of computerised cretivity, or artificial creativity, for next few years to provide a guidance which helps researchers with their future investigation.
