Fault Analysis Method for Microhydropower Cluster-Contained Power Distribution Network Based on Voltage-Controlled Current Source Equivalent Model

Having equivalence to the conventional constant voltage-sourced series impedance model is impossible because the excitation control system has a strong nonlinear impact on the fault output current of the distributed microhydropower during fault ride- through. Therefore, this paper builds a VCCS fault-equivaient model of the microhydropower cluster by studying its fault features. On this basis, this paper implements fault analysis for the microhydropower- containedpower distribution network and thenprovides an iterative fault component algorithm with consideration of fault ride-through features of the microhydropower. Finally, system modelling and simulation are conducted on the PSCAD/EMTDC platform. The results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm is more accurate than the conventional method.
