Nano-cellulose doping to improve the electrical properties of insulating paper under thermal aging

In order to explore the effect of cationic nano-fibrillated cellulose (CNFC) doping on the electrical properties of oil-paper insulation under thermal aging conditions, insulating papers with concentrations of 0wt%, 3wt%, 5wt%, and 10wt% were prepared. After vacuum impregnation with insulating oil, an accelerated thermal aging test was carried out at 130°C for 20 days. The changes of volume resistivity, dielectric properties and electrical breakdown strength with aging time were measured and analyzed. The results show that: Compared with ordinary insulating paper, the volume resistivity and electrical breakdown strength of composite paper are improved, but the dielectric constant and dielectric loss are slightly increased. This article believes that by adding CNFC, the inner pores of the insulating paper are filled, the carrier mobility is reduced, and the electrical performance of the insulating paper is improved.
