New for old - effectively managing a control system changeover

Although there is a vast array of quality literature available on generic project management, control room design and human machine interface design, there is very little material which discusses the methodology involved in replacing an existing system. This paper first considers the potential value of evaluating a control system replacement, and then presents a case study of such a project.
