A Novel Method of K-band Electromechanical Control Waveguide Switch Design

The operation principle and the design method of electromechanical controlled waveguide switch is introduced. A K-band electromechanical controlled waveguide switch is designed in this work. It is manufactured, installed and measured. The measured results show that the voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) of the switch is less than 1.04, insertion loss less than 0.05dB, isolation better than 80dB. The measured results are in agreement with the simulated results.
