Research and Application of Series Compensation Protection Automatic Testing Technology

In this paper, problems in Series Compensation (SC) protection testing are analyzed. A SC protection automatic testing scheme is purposed, separating protection tester and its controller apart. Synchronization among key devices in automatic testing system is researched. Test results automatic assessment technology based on Sequence of Event (SOE) message and third-party recording technology are used in the automatic testing system. Working process of SC protection automatic testing system is introduced, and validity of the testing system is verified through examples.
