Study on Vessel Grounding Alert Based on Threat Assessment Technology

Decision level information fusion is an important scientific issue for vessel intelligent navigation. This paper intends to consider vessel grounding as the research object and the multi-source vessel navigation information as the base, from the viewpoint of system theory, using the threat assessment techniques of the decision level multi-source information fusion to carry out the research on vessel grounding risk algorithms. The research mainly focuses on vessel navigation threat real-time assessment method. Some key points need to be studied: 1) Heterogeneous multi-source navigation information fusion at higher level to assistant deck offices to make fast and correct vessel grounding avoidance decision; 2) Objective and scientific weight distribution of multi-attribute index. The approach is verified in Zhanjiang port area. This paper has the important theoretical significance and practical value for the implementation of maritime traffic system informatisation and intelligentization and the guarantee of maritime navigation safety.
