Monitoring and Controlling Pump Motor in Water Bamboo Field Based on LoRa Technology

During the basal enlargement stage, the farmers often continuously extract the underground water by a pump motor. Before proposing a strategy to reduce resource consumption in white bamboo planting, we need to understand the farmers' behavior. This paper presents the initial result of monitoring and controlling a pump motor. After the farmers' behavior is collected by observing the activity of a pump motor, we try to imitate their irrigation pattern by making the pump motor remotely controllable. We have successfully deployed one pump in the field to gather the data.
