Location based Power Allocation to support QoS in Ultra Dense Network

With the rapid growth of mobile communication systems, traffic requirements are also increasing rapidly. 5G is considering UDN (Ultra Dense Network) as a solution to meet these traffic requirements. In general, a UDN environment is an environment in which the density of a small cell base station (SBS) is higher than that of a user equipment (UE) existing in the system. This arrangement can improve link quality, flexible deployment of BS, and increase data rate. However, the biggest issue in UDN is the inter-cell interference problem due to dense deployment of BSs. To solve this problem, this paper uses CoMP (Coordinated Multi Point), which is a cooperative technology between base stations (BS), and performs link formation in consideration of the degree of cell load. Thereafter, resource allocation adopts a method of allocating different subcarriers to adjacent UEs. After that, we propose a method of allocating more power to edge users than to the central user by performing location-based power allocation to ensure QoS (Quality of Service) of all UEs. From the simulation results, it can be seen that the proposed method can guarantee higher user QoS than the existing power allocation method.
