Modelling the Energy Fluxes in a Biomass Gasifier

This paper is aimed at developing of a model for simulation of the gasification processes of carbon-containing materials. The model is based on the mass and energy balance of the process and utilizes the actual physical dependences. It is then implemented in a specialized software tool for simulation in order to perform a verification of the model. This is achieved by using reference values from a real gasifier which are compared with the simulated ones under the same parameters. The obtained results clearly indicate that the simulation results are within the expected range of the reference values.
