Electronic effects on optical properties of graphitic Carbon Nitride towards its superiority

The non-metallic conjugated polymer graphitic Carbon Nitride (g-C
₃
N
₄
) has drawn attention to the material science researchers for its potential application in the field of renewable energy harnessing and environmental remediation. Its outstanding electronic and optical properties made this material a superior photocatalyst among the existing photocatalysts. The effects of electronic property on enhancement of optical property of photocatalysts is discussed in this article and a future experimental scheme has been proposed here.
