Stability of the composite thin films MOx – GO in photocatalytic processes

Vis-active composites based on metal oxide matrix and graphene derivatives fillers were intensively investigated in photocatalytic applications. Titanium dioxide and zinc oxide are the mostly investigated semiconductors and, coupled with graphene oxide, Vis-active composites are developed with suitable photocatalytic properties. Besides the adequate photocatalytic properties, the stability in the working condition was discussed based on the morphology and roughness changes before and after the photo-degradation processes of the methylene blue pollutant.
