Multi-Level Thresholding Grayscale Image Segmentation Implemented with Genetic Algorithm

A multi-level thresholding method for image segmentation is presented. The image is divided into multiple regions based on the grayscale level. The procedure for finding best thresholds is implemented by a genetic algorithm with appropriate coding method. The experiment results show that the proposed method gives a good performance.
