Research on the Influence of Shaft Current on E-Motor Electromagnetic Interference Test Results

Electric drive system is the core high-voltage component of electric vehicle, which plays an important role in vehicle's safety, its electromagnetic disturbance could not be ignored. In the electromagnetic disturbance test, the main difficulty is the shaft current. In order to solve this problem, this paper develops a set of shaft conduction emission test system which could collect the loading shaft current signal. At the same time, this paper developes a shaft current elimination device which is used in combination with an insulated shaft and a carbon brush. At last, the comparison between two sets of systems using a metal shaft and a shaft current elimination device are analyzed. The test results show that this device can effectively solve the electromagnetic compatibility problem caused by the shaft conduction emission.
