AIGO: A comprehensive platform for cultivating AI talent using real-world industrial problems

This paper introduces a platform, AIGO, aiming to cultivate AI talents, and enabling them to solve real-world industrial problems. The platform is composed of three blocks: (1) Competition: Designed for training AI practitioners by holding competitions to solve real-world problems. (2) Learning: Offering courses in a diverse range of theory and practical techniques of AI and complementing the insufficient abilities of AI practitioners. (3) Community: Offering both online and offline connection towards all the participants of the platform and providing a larger scale and population to join both Competition and Learning. So far we have seen positive feedback on both problems number and the number of competition participants. The number of problems we have collected increased from 50 (first competition) to 100 (third competition), and the number of competition participants increased from 138 (first competition) to 320 (second competition).
