Radiated Electric Field Prediction of 5G Base Station Using a Modified Source Reconstruction Method

The source reconstruction method (SRM) is one of the most well-known methods to calculate the radiated field at any point of the space. But this method has certain limitations. The main one is the high computational cost which is inherent to the solution of the interaction matrix relating the fields and the sources. Two improvements to the SRM are presented in this paper. One is ignoring the effect of electric currents in some situations, which can reduce the dimension of the interaction matrix so that both the computing time and physical memory can be saved. The other one is parallel computing, which allows making full use of computer to reduce the computing time notably. Simulation results will be shown to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method.
