Knowledge based systems applied to the design of electrical devices

Tools and techniques for integrated design are discussed. These range from those obvious benefits such as drafting packages, sizing software, and computer-aided-analysis packages to less obvious examples such as artificial-intelligence/knowledge-based systems, symbolic algebra, databases, and user interface management systems. The integration of all these to form a designers workbench is considered.<
