Modeling LED Lighting System for Horizontal Surface

A system of LED lighting created by lamps in parallel lines oriented in the longitudinal direction is considered. A methodology has been developed for calculating energy-efficient and uniform LED lighting of a large horizontal working surface. It is shown that the problem can be solved on the basis of the methodology and computer implementation of calculations of the lighting system that provides the specified illumination, consisting of LED lamps arranged in rows. To simplify the calculation of illumination and the assessment of power consumption, a computer calculation program has been developed that allows you to determine the parameters (number of LEDs, distance between rows of lamps, number of lamps) of the LED lighting system for a horizontal work surface, which reduces power and improves the quality of lighting. An example of calculating the LED lighting system for poultry houses with dimensions of 66 × 12 m and 78 × 18 m with outdoor bird keeping is given. It is shown that the use of low-power LEDs with opening angles from 20° to 30° leads to a decrease in the installed power of the lighting system by 2 to 3 times and to ensure the quality of illumination of houses.
