A Physical Optics Simulator for Dielectric Bodies Characterization Using a Multistatic Radar

In this work, a Physical Optics simulator able to predict the electromagnetic response of dielectric materials on top of metallic bodies is presented. The simulator is being used for the validation of a prototype of multistatic radar able to detect and identify hidden items carried under clothing in security checkpoints.
