A Parametric Study of an Energy Storage Effect due to Nonlinear Components and HPEM-Excitation

Components with nonlinear current-voltage characteristics can be found in almost all electrical devices. Regarding electromagnetic compatibility, this circumstance can lead to unpredictable effects. In a recent study, the equivalent circuit-model of a nonlinearly loaded receiving structure was considered. An energy storage effect was identified in field- and electronic circuit-simulations. In order to further analyze this remarkable effect, the equivalent circuit of a nonlinearly loaded receiving-structure will be analyzed by varying main parameters. In this way the influence of system parameters on the identified energy storage effect can be observed and better understood.
