Tapered Slot Antenna Covering 6-18 GHz for Electronic Warfare Applications

For Electronic Warfare (EW) applications covering Multi-Octave bandwidths several antennas are proposed such as Tapered slot antennas and its variants, Spiral antennas and Loaded patch antennas. In this paper a novel tapering slot Vivaldi radiator operating over 6-18 GHz frequency band for Electronic Warfare applications is proposed. The simulations are carried out using HFSS software and Return loss, Radiation patterns both in Azimuth plane and elevation plane, Gain, Front to Back ratio and Half power beam width have been computed and results are presented.
