Performance Evaluation of Fingerprint Recognition Modules on Mobile Device Based on Rule of Three

Fingerprint recognition technology has been widely applied to various smart mobile devices, and its performance is closely related to privacy security and user experience. Therefore, performance evaluation for fingerprint recognition technology is of great significance. In this paper, a construction scheme for fingerprint databases based on the statistical theory Rule of Three is first proposed, which illustrates the minimum database size to evaluate the performance. A corresponding test method is obtained and its feasibility is verified by experiments.
