Modeling of Graphene Effect as a Transparent Anode on the Absorption of Perovskite Solar Cells

The effect of employing N-layer graphene in the Bernal stacking on the absorption of active layer of the inverted-p-i-n-type planar heterojunction perovskite solar cells (PSCs) is investigated by transfer matrix model. By calculating the complex refractive index of N-layer graphene, the effect of variation of the layer number of graphene on the absorption of organometal halide perovskite (CH
₃
NH
₃
PbI
₂
Cl) active layer is explored by taking interference and parasitic absorption into account. The results show the absorption of CH
₃
NH
₃
PbI
₂
Cl in the PSCs with monolayer graphene anode is enhanced over a broad wavelength ranging from 300 to 750 nm.
