a. Multi-Facet Analysis of Technology-Enhanced Learning

Revisiting the fact that ICT development potential is still tremendous and brings us opportunities to support learning, along with the digital discrepancy, brings us the concept of technology-enhanced learning (TEL). Because learning with ICT is affected by many factors and digital divide is also a multi-faceted problem, how TEL is instantiated could be influenced so that it becomes appropriate and optimal. Because the discussion about these influencing factors for learners in TEL is massive and uses multiple points of views, we use facet analysis to explore these factors and their logical grouping along with the possible viewpoints to define TEL instantiation. Zachman's framework as the thinking paradigm is used to conduct the analysis. We analyze each Zachman's dimension for its related TEL facets. Then, we break these facets into details from abstract level into technical level. This research's result delivers a mechanism of how we regard TEL so that we can assess and improve it gradually.
