Digital gated single-particle counting system, the errors analysis

The main sources of errors of digital, gated, single-particle counting systems are considered. The influence of each source of error on the measuring system is discussed. A digital box-car system and a real-time multichannel scaler are compared. The common sources of errors and the most important differences between the systems are presented.
