Diversity-combining analysis in a Nakagami environment

This paper investigates the use of diversity in an environment where the signal is assumed to follow the Nakagami-m fading statistics. The diversity branches are considered to be uncorrelated and the signals arrive at the branches having the same mean value and the same fading parameter (m) Analytical formulations are presented for the widely known combining techniques with closed-form formulas been accomplished for most of the cases. The investigations carried out here serve the purpose of yielding a more general solution to the diversity-combining problem.
