Vortex–Antivortex Pair Interaction With Microwave Standing Waves: A Chaos Analysis of Josephson Fluxonic Diode for Microwave Applications

The result of chaos analysis in a Josephson fluxonic diode subject to the initial biasing conditions, including microwave radiation, dc control, and bias current, is characterized, emphasizing interactions between vortex and antivortex pairs with standing waves. This property has been mapped as a function of Josephson junction loss and incoming radiation's frequency and amplitude. These results lead us to find sustainable nonchaotic regions suitable for microwave signal detection. It is concluded that chaos does not appear if either dc bias or RF magnitude is below specific values. On the other hand, damping coefficient (β) can create states in which magnitude or frequency of microwave radiation would not be significant for chaos generation. In addition, an attempt has been made to explain the margins of the chaotic regions in terms of the parameter maps and the dynamics of the device.
