Information Support of Remote Monitoring of Grain Crops Biomass Amount as the Feedstock to Load Biogas Reactors

It was shown a method of remote monitoring usage with the help of drones to evaluate the quantity of biomass to be used as a feedstock for biogas production as a part of information support system. It was proposed to take into account the climatic situational conditions when the growing wheat and maize grains is unprofitable but may be used for biogas production in biogas rectors during spring-summer period. The estimation of plants biomass state was carried out in a horizontal projection on the image to be obtained from the unmanned aerial vehicle during the period up to the first fertilization. Due to the individual analysis of the pixels of the image to be obtained in optical range using unmanned aerial vehicle, the filters parameters for the efficient identification of plants and additional objects were set. There were detected green and blue channels of the optical range as the most important for plants recognition. In the experimental field conditions, it was established that the horizontal area of the leaf area surface correlated with the amount of applied fertilizers. Such phenomenon may be used in constructing of improved spectral indices for the unmanned aerial vehicles.
