National Time Scale Transmitting Through the Integrated Power Networks of SMART Technologies

The article presents a comparative analysis of peculiarities of existing and advanced technologies, which provide timestamps for the process of continuous monitoring of the stability of power system parameters in accordance with the Smart Grid concept. A new synchronization mechanism, according to the IEEE-1588 standard, is considered, which can ensure a transmission of precise timestamps by packet switching technology, as well as the one that does not require a construction of a dedicated network. Experimental data of the research results of the Ukrainian equipment used for transmitting time scale of the “energy” profile by IP-network using the PTP protocol according to the IEEE-1588 standard.
