Varied structure process and its control strategy. I. Control strategy

This paper shows that almost all of the large scale industrial control processes are variable structure processes, and dimensions of the controlled variables and manipulated variables are different and varied alone with the marketing and operating environments. The problems to control and optimize the variable structure process are discussed. The model predictive coordinated controls with multi-prediction horizon, multi-rate, multi-zone, multi-controller and nonlinear weighting are proposed. A variable structure predictive coordinated controller composed of the model based algorithm and rule based strategies is presented.
