The Relation of Scattering Field and Characteristic Mode of PEC Circular Cylinder

This paper presents an analysis of resonant frequency of PEC circular cylinder and focuses on Characteristic Mode Analysis (CMA) and Natural Mode Analysis (NMA). These 2 methods are different but theoretically, both are able to get the resonant point of antennas. A comparison of CMA, NMA, and practical problem of scattering in PEC cylinder presented in this paper.
