Influence of Indirect Measurements on the Account of General Needs of Hot Water Consumption

With the introduction of new rules for calculating the general needs of a residential building in 2017, the transition to full payment for all energy resources consumed by residents of apartment buildings on single meters has caused many questions related to the reliability of the calculation. It is common knowledge that in the absence of automated accounting systems in multi-apartment buildings and incomplete equipping of apartments with individual meters, situations often arise when the total amount of public utilities is much higher than the total consumption of apartments in the house. The reasons for this excessive imbalance may be different. The most probable of these are leakages in pipelines, illegal connections to heat networks, inconsistency of normative values to actual consumption. Proceeding from practical material, in this report we will consider one of the most important factors affecting the indicators of the general needs of an apartment house - an indirect method of measuring the total consumption of hot water in residential building. The report proposes a method for increasing the accuracy of indirect measurements used for the commercial recording of hot water consumption. The method is based on the determination of the correction to the results of measuring the difference in flow, which makes it possible to estimate the influence of the errors of flowmeters and take this factor into account in the further calibration of the flowmeters. Consideration is made on the example of accounting for the consumption of hot water in a particular residential building.
