Radiation of wire buried in a lossy half space

A wire is buried in a lossy half-space. The finite-difference time domain (FDTD) is used to calculate the radiation pattern of the wire. One of the key technologies is near- to far-zone transformation proposed by K. Demarest, the other is contour integral model of a thin wire proposed by A. Taflove. The PML absorption boundary condition is used for truncation of FDTD lattices.
