Segmentation Techniques for MRI Brain Tumour Images: A Critical Study

This paper critically examines the different segmentation techniques adopted for segmentation of MRI brain Tumour images. Brain images mostly contain noise, inhomogeneity and sometimes deviation. Therefore, accurate segmentation of brain images is a very difficult task. The process of segmentation is still challenging due to the diversity of shape, location, and size of the tumour. This study has been done in the perspective of enabling the selection of an optimal segmentation method for MRI brain Images.
