An Effective Channel Estimation Algorithm for MB-OFDM-UWB System

Channel estimation is an important technology of MB-OFDM-UWB communication. This paper introduces the two basic methods of channel estimation based on pilot, LS and MMSE algorithm. The MMSE algorithm is better in performance than LS but it is very complex in calculation. The LS algorithm has simple calculation but it is sensitive to noise. To reduce the complexity and improve the performance of channel estimation, the channel estimation algorithm using Fourier transform was proposed in this paper. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is an effective channel estimation algorithm for MB-OFDM-UWB communication.
