High Performance Variable Width Multipath Multilayer Differential Inductor

This paper presents a novel variable width multipath multilayer differential inductor. In the proposed Inductor the multilayer technology reduces the parasitic capacitance and Variable width in multipath reduces the skin effect and current crowding effect which improves Quality factor and Self Resonance Frequency. The proposed inductor is implemented using 0.18μm CMOS Technology. For the Same Value of Inductance and Same On chip area the Proposed inductor has 30% improvement in Quality Factor, 50% Improvement in Self Resonance Frequency and 50% improvement in Peak Q Frequency (f

) compared to Standard Differential Inductor.
