DTC Control of DFIG-Generators for Wind Turbines: FPGA Implementation Based

This article develops a new control strategy for the stability of variable speed wind systems based on the DFIG generator. A new contribution for the regulation of the voltage and the frequency of the signal is presented, with the aim of an injection to the distribution network. The proposed model in this paper is based on direct torque control (DTC), which is based on performance estimators to improve the quality of the system. The energy quality at the output of the wind system will be injected into the distribution network according to international standards. The proposed model is validated on the Matlab & Simulink environment to test trajectory tracking and robustness. Finally, a real-time implementation of the model on the FPGA target that will be tested in a benchmark with a wind turbine and DFIG-Generator.
