Transition Flight Control and Test of a New Kind Tilt Prop Box-Wing VTOL UAV

The tilt prop box-wing VTOL UAV is a new kind tilt propulsion aircraft, with both VTOL capability and high cruise performance. A small prototype tilt prop box-wing UAV is designed and manufactured for flight test. A six-degree-of-freedom dynamic simulation model is developed, and a flight control system including a transition schedule and a stability and control augmentation system is designed. A full transition flight test to evaluate the flight control system and transition schedule is successfully accomplished.
